Apprenticeships at the CATCH Academy are now IET approved   

This is a scheme which recognises the engineering competencies, apprenticeship training programmes and apprenticeship standards provided by training organisations. Completing an apprenticeship with the CATCH Academy, part of North Lindsey College, now means that you can apply for professional registration (EngTech) with the Engineering Council. College praised for response during lockdown to keep Catering students engaged   

The Catering and Hospitality curriculum have provided hampers with ingredients for their students to cook up meals for the whole family at home and not for just a single portion. The College team package up the ingredients and arrange for students to collect the parcels once a week so that they can produce food for a set of recipes to prepare and cook at home during the current lockdown period.

The TASS Dual Career Accreditation allows elite athletes to progress into their chosen disciplines whilst they are still in education which is funded by Sports England. The team from Sport and Uniformed Services alone created 20 large hampers for those who may need a boost this Christmas and presented them to Prevention to Intervention.   The department pulled together after Sport tutor Jessica Plumtree asked her students if they wanted to help make some hampers to support those less fortunate during the festive period who may not have access to much food, household items and toiletries.

UCNL Charity Skydive for Ghana

The daring members of staff and UCNL students will freefall at 125mph above North Lincolnshire in January 2021. Gillian Reid (UCNL Head of Department Health, Life and Social Science) is raising money for a project in Ghana, after previously organising a week-long trip with students from the UCNL in Scunthorpe in October 2019. The plan is to make a return visit to the same school after realising their need for vital essentials.
