Overview

This qualification is suitable for students who have an interest in art, design, media or a related subject and wish to explore and extend this interest via a full- time, immersive learning experience. Students will develop and test their creativity within a structure that will provide a sound base of skills and knowledge, while enhancing self- confidence and revealing the potential career demands and opportunities within the sector.

How you’ll learn

Students will explore a range of materials, techniques, and processes across 2D, 3D, and 4D art, developing skills in research, experimentation and idea development.

The course culminates in a final major project, where students will have the opportunity to focus on their chosen area of interest and produce a personal outcome.

Entry requirements

Grade 1 or above in GCSE Maths or English. Applicants must demonstrate prior experience in Art & Design at interview through a small portfolio of work (e.g. 5–10 pieces), showing basic skills and creative potential.
