UAL Level 2 Award In Art & Design

Level 2 Award offers you the opportunity to develop and explore creative skills in a range of disciplines. Throughout the course you will be introduced to a range of subjects including Painting, Drawing, 3D Design, Sculpture, Textiles and Illustration. The course features a final major project at the end of the year in which you will develop your own ideas and will exhibit work with the support of your tutors.

Through this course you will develop a basic understanding of visual language elements, research and materials and techniques. This course is aimed at developing your confidence and organisational skills. You will undertake two units through a series of art and design projects.

Our students will be offered the opportunity to attend a variety of local, national and international excursions relating to the course.

100% Coursework. You will undertake two units.

Introduction to materials, processes and technical skills in art and design.
Introduction to contextual research in art and design.

There are no formal entry requirements, this course is aimed at those who may need to retake both GCSE English and Maths. Entrants must demonstrate a passion for the subject and have previously produced some artwork either within their education or free time.

Students typically progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Creative Arts and can progress onto careers such as Fine Artist, Illustrator, Sculptor, Textile Designer and Interior Designer.
