Skilled welders don't come off the shelf.
And they don't come from a brochure either.
We’ve worked alongside the region’s biggest steel, fabrication and process employers for years — and a long roster of smaller specialists too. We know the kit you’re running, the standards you weld to, and the kind of people who do well on your shop floor. That isn’t something we read in a report. It’s what our team has lived.
The best conversations we have don’t happen in our offices. They happen in yours, walking the workshop, having a brew, talking honestly about where the gaps are and what’d actually move the needle. From there, we build something that fits.
Funded through the Apprenticeship Levy. If you're a levy payer, you're already paying into the pot. If you're not, the government covers 95% of training costs. Either way, the maths usually works out.

It starts with a visit.
It ends with qualified people on your floor.
Everything we do is built on what we see and hear when we come and meet you. No two programmes look quite the same.
Visit
We come to you. Walk your floor, meet your team, see the kit you run and the standards you weld to. No pitch — just listening.
Design
We build the programme around what we've actually seen. The processes, the materials, the working patterns — not a generic syllabus.
Recruit and Deliver
We find the right candidates and start training. Our workshops and yours, depending on what makes sense. Real welding, real conditions.
Qualify
Ongoing mentoring, progress reviews on site, and we see them through to coded, qualified and productive — not just certificated.
Tutors who've held the torch.
For decades.
Our welding tutors are time-served fabricators, coded welders and workshop supervisors who built their careers on production lines, structural projects and pressure vessel work right across this region. They know what “job-ready” looks like because they’ve spent decades hiring people who weren’t.
- Time-served coded welders and fabrication engineers with decades of industry experience across structural, plate, and pipe disciplines
- Live local knowledge — our team have worked with most of the region's major fabrication, steel and process employers. They know the kit, the standards, and the people
- Curriculum shaped by employer feedback, not generic syllabuses. We teach the welding processes, positions, and materials your business actually uses
- Regular site visits and progress reviews so you always know how your apprentice is tracking — and they know what you expect on the shop floor

Already got a team? We can sharpen them too.
Apprenticeships aren't the only way we work. We upskill and reskill experienced hands as well — from coded welder assessments to full Higher Technical Qualifications. In our workshops, in yours, or a bit of both.
Welding Upskilling
Move operatives from one process to another — MIG to TIG, carbon steel to stainless, flat to positional. Targeted modules for specific skills gaps.
Reskilling
Transition experienced hands into new roles: manual fabrication to automated processes, production to welding inspection and quality assurance.
Bespoke CPD
Coded welder assessments, welding procedure training, health & safety refreshers. One-day or multi-day sessions at our facility or yours.
We’ll come to talk to you. That’s how we work best.
Tell us where you are and we’ll find a time that suits. We’ll come over, walk the floor, and have an honest chat about where you’re at. No slides, no pitch, just engineers listening properly.
