North Lindsey College Secures Contract to Deliver Orsted’s 2025 Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship Programme
As the demand for skilled wind turbine technicians continues to grow, North Lindsey College is proud to announce its selection as the official training provider for Orsted’s 2025 Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship Programme.
With a strong track record in renewable energy training, North Lindsey College brings extensive experience to this partnership, having successfully delivered training in renewable energy to apprentices for several years. This new collaboration marks an exciting expansion of the College’s expertise in the sector.
George Machin, Director of Engineering Apprenticeships at DN Colleges Group, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to use the expertise we have been developing over the last few years to train the next generation of Orsted engineers; we have invested heavily into the development of our staff and our facilities that has allowed us to become one of the leading wind turbine providers in the country. We are excited to be working with a company such as Orsted that share our values and ambitions for training young people.”
Orsted, headquartered at Grimsby Docks, is now inviting applications for its 2025 Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship Programme. This comprehensive four-year programme provides technical training, real-world offshore experience, and a valuable opportunity to play a key role in supporting the global transition to renewable energy.

Applications are open until Friday, March 21st and candidates must be aged 16 and over.
