Former student soaring in travel career

A former North Lindsey College student has progressed from student to steward, landing a job with leading airline, British Airways.  

Julia Turek completed a Level 3 Travel and Tourism course with us in 2023 and, with an intent to progress into the world of cabin crew, went on to further complete a Level 2 Cabin Crew course to boost her portfolio. 

“When I began my journey at British Airways, I already had so much knowledge from the Cabin Crew and Travel courses at college,” said Julia. 

Her hard work paid off as she recently successfully gained her wings for British Airways and is living in London, due to being based at London Heathrow.  

Her first short-haul flight saw her travel to Naples, Italy, before embarking on her first official long-haul flight to New York City earlier this month.  

When asked about her time at college, she said: “At North Lindsey College, I was able to study interactively in the cabin simulator as well as having amazing opportunities, like the work experience trip to Jakarta, Indonesia.”
