The purpose of the T Level in Health is to ensure students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training relevant to the T Level. The objectives of this qualification are to equip students with the core knowledge and skills relevant to health; up to date occupational knowledge and skills; necessary English, mathematics and digital skills and threshold competence that meets employer expectations and is as close to full occupational competence as possible. To support students in meeting this occupational competence they are required to complete a minimum of 315 hours industry placement
The T Level consists of a core component and occupational specialism in either supporting the adult nursing team or supporting the midwifery team. The core component consists of 2 written examinations and an employer set project. The occupational specialism consists of a case study assessment, 2 practical activity assessments and a professional discussion.

I felt there was a lot of support at College from tutors and other staff. The course is the reason why I got a place at university. It prepared me and helped with completing assignments and referencing which made it easier at university. My placements gave me a greater understanding of what a job in health and social care could be like. It was the best decision I made in terms of my career pathway.
