This course is a high quality, industry recognised course for students wishing to gain knowledge, skills, and experience to work in the Aviation Industry. This will create a sound background to either working at Airports, as Cabin Crew, in Travel and Tourism, or progressing on to further qualifications.
To support your studies, and expand your knowledge and experience of the industry, you will have the opportunity to participate in educational study trips such as visits to overseas destinations, as well as UK destinations, and aviation training organisations. These trips are optional but greatly encouraged and students should be prepared for a financial outlay in respect of this.
To prepare you for a career in the Aviation industry, we set high standards in personal appearance and behaviour for our students: you will be expected to adhere to a strict uniform dress code both in class and around college, be ready and prepared for lessons and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
The initial NCFE Diploma consists of the following units of study:
Air travel assistants issue travel tickets and boarding passes, examine other documentation, provide information and assistance at airport terminals and look after the welfare, comfort and safety of passengers travelling […]
Travel agency managers and proprietors plan, organise, direct and co-ordinate the resources and activities of travel agencies and booking offices.
Travel agents advise travellers upon travel arrangements, make bookings and receive payment for travel arrangements made.
Job holders in this unit group perform a variety of leisure and travel service occupations.

I chose my course because Cabin Crew is what I’ve always wanted to do, and I knew that North Lindsey College would help me achieve that. I really enjoyed my time at the college thanks to my tutors whose experience helped me a lot and made the course interesting.
You can progress onto further qualifications in Travel and Tourism, Cabin Crew and other courses around the College.
You will improve your chances of gaining employment in the travel and tourism industry such as travel agencies, tour operators, visitor attractions, overseas work whilst improving your communication and vocational skills.
