This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) course is an entry-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is seeking an introduction to basic accounting principles and skills.

Course Structure

What will I learn?
This qualification covers a range of complex accounting tasks. You will learn and master financial processes, including accounting principles and concepts, preparing financial concepts, management accounting, tax processes and business awareness.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. This internationally recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification enables those working in accounting or those who looking to pursue accountancy as a career to gain knowledge, practical experience and the all-important certification often sought by employers.

Units of Study
The Level 3 course covers a range of key areas, including:

  • Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements
  • Management Accounting Techniques
  • Tax Processes for Businesses
  • Business Awareness

You will also develop business communications and lifelong learning skills, applying what you learn on the course to the wider industry context.

This course is delivered fully on-site, where you will study either one full day or two evenings a week for one academic year.

Entry requirements

To be eligible to enter onto the level 3 course, you MUST have completed an equivalent level 2 course in accounting (especially bookkeeping) or have the relevant experience (this will be on the teamleader’s discretion).
