North Lindsey College student Ellie Peacock has secured a place working as a dancer, at this year’s Christmas pantomime Cinderella, at The Baths Hall.
Ellie auditioned after spotting the auditions advertised on social media and felt it would help her gain some invaluable industry experience, with Ellie participating in the audition process with over 30 young dancers who also auditioned to take part in the pantomime.
After performing a jazz and ballet routine, Ellie was one of twelve auditionees that were selected to perform as part of the production. She said, “when I found out I had been selected I was excited. It was really rewarding to know that my hard work and dedication had paid off.”
Currently, Ellie is studying a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production at North Lindsey College. She added, “at the College we spend a lot of time performing jazz, so I was well prepared for the audition and knew what to expect. The tutors help to prepare us for auditions for productions and stage school.”
Leena Pawlyszyn, performing arts tutor said, “Ellie joined musical theatre last year but wasn’t sure she was going to pursue it long term, but in a matter of weeks she flourished and found her love for performing so hearing she had successfully auditioned for the professional pantomime was so fantastic. She really deserves it, she’s a very talented young lady!”
Produced by Tony Peers Productions, Cinderella will show from the 7th – 31st December at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe.
