Our staff are former uniformed services personnel and can provide students with a real insight into the careers they are aiming for whether that be the police force, fire service, armed forces or prison services.
Learning Facilities
Experience hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art facilities and through partnerships with industry leaders.
Skydiving Club
We are the only College in the region with its own skydiving club and recently the team have also started their own rifle shooting team. The department also has its own confidence course which really helps our students to be at their peak of fitness. Students also train in our on-site gym and enjoy many trips including orienteering and hiking.

Ambulance Staff (Excluding Paramedics)
Ambulance staff transport sick, injured and convalescent persons and give first aid treatment in emergencies and check ambulance vehicles are roadworthy, cleaned and have all the necessary equipment.
Fire Service Officers (Watch Manager and Below)
Fire service officers (watch manager and below) co-ordinate and participate in firefighting activities, provide emergency services in the event of accidents or bomb alerts, and advise on fire prevention.
NCOs and Other Ranks
Those holding jobs in this unit group are full-time members of the armed forces of the UK, the Commonwealth and other foreign countries and perform military duties for which there is no civilian equivalent.
Officers in Armed Forces
Officers in armed forces serve as commissioned officers in Her Majesty’s armed forces, foreign and Commonwealth armed forces plan, direct, organise and administer military operations; and perform duties for which there is no civilian equivalent.
