Most businesses need some form of digital skills within their organisation. This includes Microsoft Word and Excel, and topics such as online social media skills.
The Humber has a thriving digital economy and is building a reputation for digital innovation and creativity across the UK and worldwide.
According to government statistics, Yorkshire and the Humber is the UK’s most innovative region, 9.3% of employment in the Humber is in the creative and digital sector. There are over 8,000 employed within this sector in the
Humber. There are 40 computer games developers and publishers in Yorkshire and the Humber.
There has been an increase of 57% new business start-ups in the area in the digital sector over the past 5 years.
