Health and Social Care is a growing sector and the impact of Covid-19 has meant that employees in the industry are respected and essential key workers.

According to the NHS, 1.48 million people currently work in the social care sector and with adult social care growing the sector needs at least another half a million jobs and people to do them by 2030.

To help you get ready for the world of work, we are now offering a T-Level in Health and Social Care and our facilities include a clinical practice area, two nursing stations, full nursing equipment which includes compression monitors, naso-gastric equipment, dementia simulation, bedside care facilities, hoists, wheelchairs, infection control and CPR equipment. In addition to this we also have biology laboratories and bioscience labs.

Our students benefit from excellent links to employers and our programmes help our students progress into a wide range of jobs in the sector, onto higher education or on to an apprenticeship.

Health and Social Care Courses for School Leavers

Testimonial

I chose to study this course as I’ve always wanted to be a nurse. The tutors are so supportive and I’ve made lots of new friends. I’m looking forward to progressing on to Sheffield Hallam University to study child nursing.
