Catering and Hospitality

Training in this subject is not restricted to the classroom, you will train in a professionally equipped kitchen, get out into industry and work with tutors who have sector experience.

Once you have gained confidence in the kitchen you will participate in a wide range of internal and external activities aimed at expanding your knowledge of the sector.

In 2018 our students cooked full Christmas dinners for community groups, provided catering for events and participated in competitions.

You will be fully supported to expand your culinary repertoire, build your experience through work placements and practical sessions and develop your style.

Within Catering and Hospitality there are a wide variety of career choices. You could be aiming for a management position, to become a head chef, a sous chef, be a business owner, banquet manager, work in events or want to be front of house.
