We deliver training to enable you to work as a plumber, joiner, builder, painter and decorator, plasterer, or progress into site management and other career opportunities in construction.

We are also now offering a T-Level in this subject which is the latest qualification to meet the needs of the industry.

The department is equipped with spacious and modern workshops across all the trade areas; this helps to emulate a real-life working environments. We use industry-standard materials which enhance the learning experience when studying a chosen trade.

The department has excellent links with local, regional and national construction companies who offer work experience placements for our students. All our students are also given the opportunity to look at the apprenticeship vacancies in their chosen trade area.

The Construction department has support from key manufacturers within the construction industry. The manufacturers come into the College, provide training and support sessions for all our students on how to use their products safely and correctly. Key manufactures and suppliers include British Gypsum, Baumit, Baxi Boilers and Buildbase & Viking Hardware.
