The course will be delivered over 13 Weeks, Wednesday 1-3pm
The course consists of units such as:
- Principles of anatomy, physiology and fitness
- Professionalism and customer care for fitness instructors
- Health and safety in the fitness environment
- Conducting client consultations to support positive behaviour change
- Planning and instructing gym-based exercise
Within these units, you will gain hands on practical experience delivering Gym Instructing sessions, discovering the specialist terms relating to the anatomy of the human body, understanding the importance of clients leading a healthy lifestyle, health and safety and your professional boundaries as a Gym Instructor.
The course has a balanced approach to the assessment methods, which include:
1 x Anatomy and Physiology open book multiple choice exam
4 x Assignment
3 x Worksheets
3 x Observations
2 x Evaluations
Must have GCSE’s at Grade 4+ within English and Maths or the equivalent.
Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training.
Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral.
Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy.
Use as a stepping stone to HE within Sports Rehabilitation.
