As part of this course, you will gain the following qualifications:

  • Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools
  • Level 1 Award in Infection Prevention and Control
  • Entry Level 3 Award in Fundamental British Values
  • Level 2 Award in Equality and Diversity
  • Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People
  • Level 2 Award Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

As part of this course, you will also have the opportunity to attend an employer talk and gain some interview practice.

Learners will complete a portfolio of work and undertake two short exam papers.

Learners must:

  • Be aged 19+ as of 31/08/2025
  • Currently live in England
  • Have resided in the EU/UK for 3+ years for purposes other than study

Not be enrolled on an apprenticeship

Upon completion of these qualifications, you could gain a role supporting students in schools.

Learners who undertake this course could go on to study:

  • Introduction to Working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) – Classroom
  • Introduction to Autism – Classroom
  • Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Bullying in Children & Young People – Online

Level 2 Certificate in Allergy Awareness for those Working with Children – Online
