This course is for learners aged 19+. The aim of the course is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of core subject areas in health and social care to support progression to further learning or the workplace.

The Level 2 Certificate is completed within one academic year on a part time basis. This will involve one day per week in college.
Units covered on the Level 2 Certificate:
– Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
– Human growth and development
– Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
It is expected that learners will hold a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English to support in the writing of assessments on this course. Applicants may be asked to complete a short written task to support their application.
