The Level 3 Diploma is the first year of a two-year programme.
On completion of the second year you will obtain the equivalent to three A-levels, this full-time course meets entry requirements for learners who want to progress to Stage School or higher education courses in performing arts areas before entering employment.
You will study various genres of dance, including: Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, and Urban dance; focusing on technique. You will have the opportunity to perform in external events and competitions.
In addition to the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin study of the performing arts sector, this qualification offers learners experience of the breadth and depth of the sector to prepare them for further study or training. You will develop your understanding of the industry, organizational and collaborative skills, creative thinking, technical performance skills and professional behaviours.
These skills are highly regarded by higher education and employers, and will greatly benefit learners who want to progress to these areas.
You will complete 7 formative units and a final summative unit where you will be graded either PASS, MERIT or DISTINCTION. Some units include;

Introduction to Professional Practice
Preparing for Progression
Specialist Study Work and Collaborative Performance Projects.
These will be completed throughout the year using varied assessment styles to suit your needs. Units can be submitted verbally, electronically or creatively.
5 GCSE’s at grade 4-9 including Maths and English. You will be required to audition for this programme.
Students typically progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts – Dance. Our students have progressed onto: London Studio Centre, Royal Academy of Dance, LIPA, Bird College, Master of Arts, Creative Academy. Students have also gained professional dance contracts with: P&O Cruises and Sea Cruise UK.
