These qualifications are for candidates wishing to gain some understanding and some practical experience of the variety of trades in the Construction industry.
The qualifications cover a range of hand-skills and practical tasks in the following trade areas:
- Bricklaying
- Plastering
- Wall and Floor Tiling
- Painting & Decorating
Training will cover:
Units: (15 Credits in Total)
005 – Half Brick Wall (3)
008 – Rendering (3)
003 – Painting (4)
004 – Tiling (4)
006 – Block Paving (3)
Practical training and assessments will make up 80% of the programme with 20% theory which is training only, no formal assessments, Maths & English will also be mandatory as part of this study package.
GCSE U – 1
Progression – L1 Certificate in Multi trade or progress onto a Level 1 Certificate in Plastering, Brickwork, Joinery or Plumbing.
