This is a top up of the Level 3 Diploma in Performance and Production Arts
(Musical Theatre) and is the equivalent of three A-levels.
you will study as a triple threat student. You will work the three core
disciplines which are; Singing, Dancing & Acting within a full-time, 4 day a
week timetable.
You will also take part in numerous live performances both internally and
at external venues throughout the year. You will also get the opportunity to
work as a professional performance company that will tour local theatres.
You will continue to develop skills in each discipline in terms of styles
and genres. Within singing you will learn complex harmonies, ensemble work, solo
work and acting through song. You will continue to develop a broad repertoire of
musical singing styles throughout the year. Within acting you will continue to
develop your performance skills in relation to characterisation and how to tell
a story within a song, script development and monologue performance skills.
Within dance you will focus on furthering your skills in Jazz technique, Tap,
Ballet and Lyrical technique. Studying each discipline in depth will allow you
to become the ultimate triple threat and give you the appropriate tools to be
able to progress into top stage schools or universities.
studies in Commercial Dance, this supports you in becoming a versatile
performer. Additional study sessions are offered to all students, and include
activities with external industry professionals that are currently working in
the West End. You will receive FREE 1:1 private tuition in Audition Technique
and will have the opportunity to be part of the top casting platform in the UK
‘Spotlight’ via our partnership with ‘Duckegg Agency’.
You will be offered the chance to attend two London residential trips
where you can attend a stage school and watch performances on the West End. Each
student will need the appropriate attire in terms of dancewear and dance shoes,
these can be purchased privately or using financial assistance if eligible. We
