Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts – Acting

Within this qualification, you will cover a variety of acting styles and techniques to become a well rounded performer. In this full time course, you will be taking part in internal and external performances throughout the year.

Each acting skill is studied extensively including Improvisation,
Devising, Script Work, Classical Text, Monologues and Audition Techniques.

An annual trip to London, gives us the chance to see professional shows
and our masterclasses throughout the year gives the chance for students to work
with industry professionals. Each student has the opportunity to audition for
our casting agency, Duckegg Agency, allowing them to access professional work.
The students are able to receive one to one sessions alongside their group
sessions.

You will complete 7 formative units and a final summative unit where you
will be graded wither a Pass, Merit or Distinction.

  • Performance skills

  • Performance and Production skills

  • Introduction to Professional practice

  • Preparing for Progression

  • Specialist Study and Collaborative Performance Projects

    • These units will be completed throughout the year using varied assessment
    styles to suit your needs. Units can be submitted verbally, electronically or
    creatively.

    A minimum of 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English, alternatively a Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts. It is essential that applicants must demonstrate a passion and determination for the subject.

    Students typically progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performance and Production Arts (Acting).
