Advanced Learning Loans

Students aged 19-23 who are studying their first full Level 3 qualification will be entitled to have their fees publicly funded and will not require an Advanced Learner Loan.

Students aged 19+ who already hold a full Level 3 qualification or above and wish to enrol onto a further qualification at the same level may wish to consider being funded through an Advanced Learner Loan if they do not meet any other fee remission.  Fee remissions will be discussed at enrolment, or you can contact financial.support@northlindsey.ac.uk for further information prior to enrolment.

Where an Advanced Learner Loan needs to be considered, a Funding and Information Letter will be sent to you.  This letter will have all of the information you require to be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Loan eligibility does not depend on a student’s income and there are no credit checks.  Repayment of the loan only starts when the student has completed their programme of study and they are earning more than £27,295 (gross) a year.

Students enrolling on to an Access to HE programme will have their Advanced Learner Loan written off where they go on to complete a HE Undergraduate programme that is funded by Student Finance England.

Where students are fully funded by an Advanced Learner Loan they are advised to refer to the above information regarding financial assistance as they may be eligible for financial support to help with the cost of their studies through this.
