A clear pathway to Forklift Truck (FLT) training and certification, our Job Skills for Forklift Truck course is designed to prepare you for a successful career in the fast-growing logistics and warehousing sector.
Upon successful completion of the course, we will arrange and fund your Counterbalance training – giving you the qualifications you need to get started in the industry.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to an overlap of qualifications, learners who undertake the FLT course with us will be unable to enrol onto our CSCS course.

As part of this course, you will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 1 Certificate in Logistics. This qualification aims to give learners knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in logistics to support progression to employment to an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.
- Level 1 Extended Certificate in Employability Skills. This qualification offers the generic transferable employability skills needed for employment such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving. This qualification are designed to enable a learner either to progress directly into employment or into learning at a higher level as part of a progression pathway towards employment in a specific sector.
Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. This qualification is designed to provide learners with essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices in a work environment. Covering core topics such as using personal protective equipment (PPE) and supporting organisations to meet basic legislative health and safety requirements, It is particularly suitable for individuals with little or no prior training in health and safety.
Learners will complete a portfolio of work and undertake one multiple choice exam.
Learners must:
- Be aged 19+ as of 31/08/2025
- Currently live in England
- Have resided in the EU/UK for 3+ years for purposes other than study
Not be enrolled on an apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to apply for work as:
- Forklift Operators (Counterbalance)
- Warehouse Operatives
- Yard Operatives
- Goods-in/Goods-out Assistants
- Production Operatives (in manufacturing settings)
These roles often serve as entry points into larger logistics or supply chain operations.
