Ideal for anyone looking to start a career in construction, our Job Skills for CSCS course is designed to get you fully prepared to take and pass your CSCS test.
Upon successful completion of the course, we will create your CSCS account, then book and pay for your CSCS test.
Once you pass, we’ll also pay for and claim your CSCS (green/Labourer’s) card.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to an overlap of qualifications, learners who undertake the CSCS course with us will be unable to enrol onto our FLT course.
As part of this course, you will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This qualification provides an important foundation to Health and Safety for individuals working or intending to work within the Construction industry. The qualification covers risk assessment, working at height, manual handling, improving health and safety at work and the safe operation of equipment.
Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills. The qualifications offer the generic transferable employability skills needed for employment such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving. The qualifications are designed to enable a learner either to progress directly into employment or into learning at a higher level as part of a progression pathway towards employment in a specific sector.
Learners will complete a portfolio of work.
Learners must:
- Be aged 19+ as of 31/08/2025
- Currently live in England
- Have resided in the EU/UK for 3+ years for purposes other than study
Not be enrolled on an apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to apply for work as:
- General labourers
- Site assistants
- Groundworkers
- Traffic Marshals
After gaining some experience, learners may also be able to pursue NVQs in specific trades (e.g. bricklaying, carpentry, plastering).
