With the offshore wind sector set for rapid growth, the industry is expected to require around 50,000 skilled workers over the next ten years. At North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe, more than 100 apprentices from across the UK are already preparing for careers at sea, training to become the next generation of offshore wind technicians.
The BBC came to the College campus to speak with the offshore wind apprentices to find out more and see the machines used for training that replicate the engineering and electronics found in offshore turbines.
