DN Colleges Group Launches Ambitious “Building Bridges” Campaign to Support Local Businesses

Posted: October 16, 2025

DN Colleges Group is taking bold steps to tackle the growing skills shortage facing businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. With 62% of organisations reporting difficulties in finding workers with the right skills, the need for action has never been greater.

In response, DN Colleges Group is proud to launch its new campaign, “Building Bridges”, designed to prepare young people for employment, empower the next generation of talent, and ensure local businesses have access to the skilled workforce they need to thrive.

Building Bridges with DN Colleges Group

As part of the campaign, DN Colleges Group has set an ambitious goal: creating 100 apprenticeship opportunities in just 100 days. This initiative is aimed at energising local industries, supporting business growth, and providing young people with meaningful career pathways.

The campaign spans all sectors including engineering, health and social care, digital technologies, and construction. By partnering with local employers, DN Colleges Group identifies workforce skill gaps and connects businesses with motivated candidates who are ready to contribute and grow with their organisations.

Julie Bower, Director of Employer Relationships at DN Colleges Group, emphasises the importance of working together:

“This campaign is a call to action for employers. We’re not just filling vacancies—we’re shaping futures. By collaborating, we can ensure our region has the skilled workforce it needs to compete and thrive.”

Supporting Businesses Through Apprenticeships

DN Colleges Group offers tailored support to businesses throughout the apprenticeship process, including guidance on funding, the creation and promotion of job adverts and interviewing candidates. By partnering with DN Colleges Group, employers can reduce recruitment costs, fill skill gaps and develop a skilled workforce.

Local businesses interested in participating in our campaign are encouraged to reach out to the Business Development Team to get started. Together, we can develop the skilled workforce that our region needs for a thriving future.
