Check out our Enrolment Hub

Starting college can feel like a big step – a new place, new people, and a lot of change. But don’t worry, we’re here to help you settle in and feel confident from day one.

Enrolment Day is the first part of your journey at North Lindsey College, and to make things easier, we’ve answered some of the most common questions students have.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What is enrolment day?

Enrolment Day is when you come into college to:

  • Provide your exam results
  • Confirm your place on your chosen course
  • Get your student card and lanyard
  • Receive your timetable
  • Arrange access to the building
  • Sort out any important paperwork

Many of our staff will be available on the day to help with any other questions you may have, including:

  • Bursaries and financial support, including bus passes
  • Career support
  • Academic support
  • Questions about college life

When is enrolment day?

You will receive an email in August regarding your enrolment appointment, so please keep an eye on your inbox, including spam and junk folders! If you haven’t received an email by August 12th or have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the enrolment team at studentrecords@northlindsey.ac.uk.

When your appointment comes around, make sure you come to see us at North Lindsey College, Kingsway, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN17 1AJ.

Need help finding us or parking? Take a look at our travel guide.

What if I can’t attend or miss my enrolment appointment?

If you’re unable to attend on the scheduled dates, don’t worry! We’ll also be holding enrolment sessions on 26th and 27th August, as well as during the week commencing  2nd September, between 10am and 4pm.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Make sure you bring your GCSE results statement to ensure you are allocated the correct course. You will also need one form of identity from the list below:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • National Insurance Card/Letter
  • Bank/Debit/Credit Card
  • National ID/Citizen Card
  • Birth Certificate

What happens after enrolment day?

Once you’re enrolled, that’s it – you’re officially a North Lindsey College student and we look forward to seeing you again soon on your college start date!

What happens if I don’t get the grades I need for my chosen course?

Don’t stress – just come in and have a chat with us. We’ll see what other courses or routes are available and help you find the right one.

I’m still deciding on my next steps. Can I still apply to start in September?

Yes, there’s still time! Take a look at the courses we offer and apply now, or come and join us at our late applicant event that takes place on the 11th September.
