South Yorkshire win £12million bid to establish an Institute of Technology

The Department for Education (DfE) made the announcement today as part of the second wave of IoT bids to have funding confirmed by the government. New employer-led IoTs offer higher level technical education to help close skills gaps in key STEM areas. Students Experience Cyprus  

Once travel restrictions were eased, DNCG, which includes North Lindsey College and Doncaster College, have received the highest amount of student applications for overseas work experience. The last student trip, pre-Covid had taken place in February 2020.  Four students from Doncaster College and four from North Lindsey College flew out to Limassol for a once in a lifetime opportunity with their subject area peers. Festive Fundraising at College  

The Health and Social Care department held an Elf Day to raise money for local people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Elf day at the College provided the opportunity for staff and students to dress up, unleash their inner elf and spread some festive cheer to raise money for people affected by dementia and their families. Students enjoyed elf activities throughout the day and held a bake sale, managing to raise £400 across sites which will be spent on providing care packages for carers for over the festive season. T-Level Health and

North Lindsey College are set to plant 300 trees in 2022 as part of their sustainability strategy.

The DNCG Sustainability Group put forward their applications for the free trees via The Woodlands Trust’s website in September 2021, to help towards the groups sustainability strategy in making the campus greener, part of an ambitious whole College approach towards net-zero emissions and reduce environmental impact through innovation and collaboration.
