North Lindsey College are celebrating alongside Syngenta following the recent announcement the agriculture company has been voted the ‘Best Apprentice Employer in the Yorkshire and Humber Region’ at the 2020 Rate My Apprenticeship Awards.
North Lindsey College are now recognised as the fifth largest FE provider of apprenticeships in the UK and have been working with Syngenta, delivering a core apprenticeship. The College have been providing the Science Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship for Syngenta and are delighted in thier recent success.
Jill Cooper (Executive Director Employer Engagement & Projects, DN Colleges Group) said, “We are absolutely delighted that Syngenta have won this award. They consistently demonstrate a real commitment to the Science Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship delivery programme and each apprentice’s individual progress and development. As a client they are a pleasure to work with and they are an exemplar for best practice in the management of their apprentice programmes.”
Syngenta make important crop protection products that help growers meet an ever -increasing demand for food, feed and fuel. They offer a range of apprenticeships on their site in Huddersfield.
Ian Nunn (Training & Apprenticeship Programme Manager, Syngenta) said, “We are extremely proud to receive these awards from the Rate My Apprenticeship organisation, not least because they are based on the views of the apprentices themselves. As with previous awards that we have received, it is reward to the many Syngenta employees at our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre who enthusiastically support our apprentices in their training, development and guidance. It is also testament to the support and collaboration that we have with our partners such as North Lindsey College. In the two years that we have worked together they have helped us to deliver an excellent programme for Science Manufacturing Technicians at the same time as managing the challenges created by the recent pandemic.”
