Digital Technologies

Having relevant digital skills will enable you to progress into a wide variety of job roles and sectors, so opting to study digital technologies can open many doors. If you're interested in computer science, games development, photography or video production, this might be the area for you!

The Humber has a thriving digital economy and is building a reputation for digital innovation and creativity across the UK and worldwide.

According to government statistics, Yorkshire and the Humber is the UK’s most innovative region, 9.3% of employment in the Humber is in the creative and digital sector. There are over 8,000 employed within this sector in the
Humber. There are 40 computer games developers and publishers in Yorkshire and the Humber.

There has been an increase of 57% new business start-ups in the area in the digital sector over the past 5 years.
